The lab is interested in intracellular protein trafficking in mammalian cells. Specif ically we are studying the mechanism of receptor-mediated ER-to-Golgi protein transport and its role in human diseases. Exciting projects are available usin g a set of knockout mice generated for our studies. LRI has state-of-the-art facilities and is renowned for its strong research pr ogram. Cleveland Clinic, the third-best hospital in the US (http://www.usnews. com/usnews/health/best-hospitals/tophosp.htm), provides many unique opportunit ies for collaborations. LRI also has a close relationship with the Case Wester n Reserve University. Cleveland area is a pleasant, affordable place to live, with many recreational opportunities nearby and major attractions in easy driv ing range. Interested applicants should have (or expect to have) a Ph.D. with research ex perience in biochemistry, molecular biology or cell biology. Prior experience in animal studies is a plus. Salary is competitive and commensurate with resea rch experience and accomplishments.
