It is a multi-crossing discipline with much research currently taking place int o the understanding of gene manipulation, protein expression and recognition for protein design principles. Biocatalysts which possess exquisite regioselective and stereoselective prop erties are being explored extensively in both the academic research and indu strial production of active pharmaceutical intermediates, agrochemical inter mediates, food ingredients and bulk chemicals. Substrate engineering, medium engineering, and enzyme engineering have been widely investigated to obtain satisfying performance and characteristics in terms of activity, stability and selectivity. Requirements: 1 Postdoc position is available in the area of protein engineering. Interest ed candidates must have: (a) Ph.D degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, bi ochemical engineering, biology or related area from a reputable university; (b) strong interest in high impact research and excellent communication skil l in English. 1 Ph.D position is available in the area of biocatalyst. Interested candida tes must have: (a) bachelor/master degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, b iochemical engineering or biology from a reputable university; (b) top score s in the level and excellent English skill (candidates with good TOEFL and G RE scores are preferred).
