And that\'s the reason why I can be admitted by my current university. But I was just an undergraduate student. Research is not required but recommended. Without research, you can also be admitted by some top universities. (There are plenty of examples even!) For a master student, without any research will of course be a shortcoming for you. I agree with Feynman that if you want to apply for a master first, try some top universities. I have a friend who was from a second level Chinese University and admitted by Stanford Material Science Master program last year. Myself also got an master admission from Berkeley last year. So try and apply some top universities if you want to do a master first and can afford the tuition fees. 【 在 Feynman 的大作中提到: 】 : Yes, professors will generally consider students who have had some research experience in the past and have a clear idea of what they want to do. Whether you gain the experience as an undergrad or master student does not matter. Since you are asking this question on bbs, I think it\\\'s reasonable to assume that you don\\\'t have much research experience in the past, and this will definitely be a disadvantage in your application. You have many different ways to earn this experience. For example, yo: u can do an internship in some research institutions, or you can do a masters, or you can even get into a PhD program and try to transfer a few years later. : To answer your question specifically: : ................... -- 大江之滨,嘉陵之津,巍巍我南开精神 ※ 来源:·珞珈山水 http://bbs.whu.edu.cn·[FROM: 128.59.114.*] |
