The students will enroll the PhD program in the department of Computer Science and Software Engineering in Melbourne Univ, which is the top University in Australia (ranking top 20 by THES and top 80 by SJTU world wide). The students will perform research in hot areas in database such as moving object management, data streams and bioinformatics. Students with good math or algorithm background are preferred. PhD in Melbourne Univ usually takes 3.5-4 years. If interested, you should apply for at least the following two scholarships: 1. Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships 2. The average living cost in Melbourne is 800/month. You can get more if you succeed in applying for the other scholarships stated in the above website. English test is required, either TOEFL or IETLS.
