With the same purpose of the previous seven workshops, IBW2010 aims at scientific communication for researchers at the cutting edge of progress in bioinformatics and related research fields. The workshop will involve invited presentations, given by leading scientists from China, USA, Canada and other countries, to report the latest research findings in bioinformatics and computational biology, as well as the contributed presentations and posters of the accepted papers to provide a friendly and flexible environment for researchers from all over the world to exchange their ideas and improve the cooperation. You are cordially invited to participate in this great event, and/or pass this announcement to your friends, colleagues, associates, students, and others who you believe to be interested in IBW2010 workshop. You are invited to submit the unpublished original research work on the bioinformatics research and applications to IBW2010. TOPICS: IBW2010 is interested in but not limited to the following topics:  Systems biology  Structural bioinformatics  Biomedical text mining  Protein structure, function and sequence analysis  Protein interactions, docking and function.  Computational proteomics  DNA and RNA structure, function and sequence analysis  Gene regulation, expression, identification and network  Structural, functional and comparative genomics  Computational evolutionary biology  Biomedical data acquisition, normalization, analysis and visualization  Algorithms, models, software, and tools in Bioinformatics  Novel approaches to bioinformatics problems  Drug design  Analysis of TCM (Tranditional Chinese Medicine)  Immunoinformatics  Ecological informatics All submissions should be written in English with double space and will be fully reviewed by the program committee for significance, originality, accuracy and clarity and will be peer-reviewed for acceptance. All accepted papers will be published on some kinds of international journals according to the reviewers’ comments.
